An enterprise AI assistant that works your existing leads over email, SMS and chat until they reply, then hands the qualified ones to a rep.
What is
Conversica
Conversica is a poor fit for cold outbound and a strong one for the leads you already paid for. It runs two-way email, SMS and chat conversations with people in your database, chasing a reply through follow-up after follow-up, then hands the human over to a rep once they answer with intent. The agents sit on top of Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua or Dynamics and work a list on a schedule, reading each reply with natural language processing and deciding whether to answer, escalate or keep nudging. Conversica has been doing this since 2007, well before the current wave of AI SDR startups existed. The customer list tells you where it works. Iron Mountain revived dormant leads and closed a $500,000 deal, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Islanders use it on season ticket databases, and the University of Miami runs it on applicants. These are big lists of known people going stale. We would only put a client on Conversica if their database holds tens of thousands of contacts nobody is working, because $36,000 a year plus implementation needs a lot of dormant leads to pay for itself. Nebor has not run it, and below that volume a Clay workflow feeding a sequencer covers the same follow-up.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
Conversica plugs into the system of record and works the leads already in it, so the integration list is short and heavy on CRM and marketing automation rather than long and shallow. Almost all of it is wired by Conversica's implementation team during onboarding instead of by you in a settings screen.
Salesforce | The oldest and deepest connection, covering Sales Cloud and Pardot. The agent works Leads and Contacts straight off the record, then writes conversation status, replies and hot-lead flags back so the rep sees the whole exchange without leaving the CRM. |
HubSpot | Both the CRM and Marketing Hub are supported. Agents get triggered off lists and workflows, and the two-way conversation lands on the contact timeline, which makes HubSpot the easiest place to test a reactivation play against contacts you already have. |
Adobe Marketo and Oracle Eloqua | Conversica announced dynamic two-way conversations for marketing automation platforms in March 2024, letting an agent pick a lead up out of a nurture program, hold a real exchange, and push the qualified ones back into the program with a status the marketer can route on. |
Microsoft Dynamics 365 | Supported across the CRM and marketing sides for enterprises running the Microsoft stack. It is a standard integration in Conversica's list, so it does not carry the custom-integration surcharge that odd systems do. |
Chili Piper and meeting booking | The handoff is the point of the whole conversation, so scheduling matters. Conversica lists Chili Piper among its common connections, and agents can send calendar links and book the meeting once a reply reads as qualified. |
SMS, website chat and messaging apps | Email is the core channel and the rest are separate. SMS and web chat agents are add-ons priced on quote, so a buyer who assumes multichannel is included in the base subscription will be corrected during the pricing call. |
What we could not find | No public API reference, no listed Zapier or n8n app, and no Clay integration. New connections go through Conversica's implementation team, and Conversica says it can add integrations on request. If you want Clay or n8n anywhere near this, the CRM has to be the join point. |
Pro’s
Persistence is the whole product, and an agent that sends the fourth and fifth follow-up to a lead your reps stopped calling finds revenue a human floor never gets around to.
The reactivation case studies are specific and checkable, including Iron Mountain closing a $500,000 deal out of dormant leads and Louisville City FC pulling more than $200,000 in nine months.
It reads replies instead of matching keywords, so an out of office, a wrong contact and a real buying question all get routed differently without a rep opening the inbox.
Pricing is volume-based with unlimited seats, so a 40-person sales floor costs the same as a 5-person one and nobody has to ration logins.
Nineteen years of production conversations across a claimed 2,000-plus teams means the conversation flows have been tested on far more real replies than any 2024-vintage AI SDR has seen.
The CRM and marketing automation hooks run deep enough that the agent works your live records and writes status back, so nobody is exporting a list and reconciling it later.
Cons
Pricing teardowns put the entry point at $2,999 a month on an annual contract with implementation adding $5,000 to $15,000, which lands a first year near $50,000 before any add-on.
Conversica publishes no pricing anywhere on its site and offers no self-serve trial, so evaluating it costs you a demo, a discovery call and a quote before you know the math.
Reviewers on G2 and TrustRadius keep flagging the same failure, where replies that go off-script get answers reading robotic or missing the question, and the templates are rigid enough that you cannot easily fix it yourself.
The whole design assumes inbound follow-up and database reactivation, so prospecting, list building and cold sending sit outside it and you pay for those somewhere else.
July 2026 brought a majority recapitalization by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital alongside Ignite, an automotive dealer platform, and a roadmap steering toward car dealerships is a real risk for a B2B software buyer.
