crm enrichment and data hygiene agencies

7 Best CRM Enrichment and Data Hygiene Agencies for 2026 (and the Questions That Tell Them Apart)

In this post:
No headings found on page

Six questions can help you separate the best CRM enrichment and data hygiene agencies that properly fix your data from the ones that clean it once and invoice you again next quarter:

  • Do they stop bad data at the door, or only clean what is already there? A cleanup with no matching layer on incoming records is a photograph of a moving object.

  • What happens when a rep adds a lead by hand? If manual data entry still means half an hour of research and typing, the agency has automated nothing that matters.

  • What happens to a record when your buyer changes jobs? If the answer is "the next audit", your warmest leads are bouncing right now.

  • Do they wire the handoffs, so a record moves from marketing to sales to customer success without being re-typed, and does the reporting match the pipeline?

  • Where does the system live when the engagement ends, your accounts or theirs? Do they publish results, custom pricing terms, and security certifications, GDPR and CCPA included?

  • Does the clean data feed anything? A tidy CRM disconnected from your outbound, inbound, and paid motions is leaving money on the table.

In this article, we review the seven best CRM enrichment and data hygiene agencies using those six factors, for sales, marketing, and RevOps leaders whose CRM records have stopped being trusted.

We start with ourselves, the one on the list we can describe first-hand, then cover six agencies we would send you to when one of them is the better call.

TL;DR

Most agencies in this category sell you a cleanup: audit, dedupe, fill the gaps, hand back a dashboard, and quote you again in two quarters.

The work is good but the effect wears off: industry benchmarks put CRM data decay at 25 to 30 percent a year, with most records going stale within 90 days without enrichment, and nothing about the way bad customer data enters your CRM has changed.

Data enrichment on top gets expensive fast: pointing an enrichment tool at a customer database full of duplicates means paying a vendor to enrich garbage, and the reason your segmentation is wrong survives the exercise.

For us, it's not a database to be scrubbed. So, we treat CRM data enrichment and hygiene as one system. Here's what our clients say about our work:

Our workflows verify, enrich, and deduplicate any customer data before it lands in your CRM records. Your records will even refresh themselves when your buyer changes jobs, and the whole thing keeps going in your own accounts once we are gone.

What CRM enrichment and data hygiene agencies do that CRM enrichment tools cannot

So, you might wonder why this section at all. Or what what the argument is that we are trying to make here. The answer lies in what shows up when you search for CRM enrichment and data hygiene solutions, companies, or agencies.

When you type to search either of these terms, what the search results turn up are CRM tools and big data source platforms. And those are not CRM enrichment and data hygiene solutions, at least not on their own (let alone the fact that they don't cover the data hygiene part at all).

Let's explain how everything around data enrichment works.

CRM data enrichment tools give you an API, a browser extension, or a Clay column. You point one at a domain and the enrichment tool turns it into a company record: job title, phone numbers, mobile numbers, employee count, technographic data, funding stage, the standard contact attributes.

Contact enrichment works the same: name and company in, email, title, and phone out. Inbound tools like Default enrich leads the moment a form submission lands, and CRM data enrichment done right gives your reps a 360-degree view of the prospect.

The good CRM data enrichment tools chain waterfall enrichment across multiple providers, so one source fills the gaps of the last, and the big databases advertise scale: Demandbase alone claims 100 million-plus enriched company records.

The data types cover firmographics, technographics, demographics, and intent data, and integration platforms like Skyvia move it between systems with 200-plus pre-made connectors.

Most CRM data enrichment tools sell a free plan for a few hundred credits and paid plans above that, with the key features gated by tier. The free plan is a demo; the job starts on the paid plans. And across the category the key features are the same, and the key features are a small part of the job.

Now, going back to our argument.

What data enrichment tools cannot do

None of them can decide.

An enrichment tool cannot decide which of your three duplicate records for Acme is the real one, or when a contact who moved companies becomes a new record at a new account. It cannot stop the form, the import, and the integration that dirty the database in the first place.

That is what the agencies in this category exist for: the CRM data audit, deduplication and standardization, the lead enrichment stack and its refresh cadence, real-time verification of contact data with email address validation, and the data management rules that stop new mess getting written.

The best build all of that in your CRM and hand it over, so your sales teams, marketing teams, and the GTM teams in between work from the same accurate data. The rest keep it on their side and send you a report, and you should know which kind you are talking to before the first call ends.

How Nebor builds RevOps workflows that ensure continuous CRM data enrichment and hygiene in your own accounts

We are Nebor, and we build GTM and RevOps systems for B2B companies. CRM data enrichment and hygiene is usually the part clients discover they needed after the outbound and sales automation results came back thin.

The enrichment and automation tools are the same ones everybody else uses: Clay, n8n, HubSpot, Salesforce, LeadsFactory, FullEnrich, Findymail, LeadMagic, and a validation layer on top. What differs is the order of operations and where the work happens.

Andrew and I (Yannick) lead Nebor, and we both sold B2B services and software for years before automating a workflow. That matters because data hygiene decisions are sales judgment calls dressed up as technical ones, and we have been the rep working around a bad CRM.

Here are 6 factors that make us the best agency you can hire for your needs.

Factor #1: We stop duplicates before they are written, with an AI agent on the ambiguous merges

Most cleanup engagements start at the wrong end: export, merge, put back. Two months later the same duplicates are back, because the form, the import, and the integration that created them are all still there.

We start at the other end of the pipe: every incoming record passes through a matching layer in Clay (with a Clay AI Agent) that compares it against your existing CRM data by domain.

Your existing records get the new information merged on; new ones get created once, with fields standardized on the way in. Data standardization is the boring half: job titles, org names, and formats written one way, everywhere.

Where a merge is ambiguous, the AI agent checks the match first, because merging two subsidiaries into one account is a bad afternoon for everybody.

The existing data still gets cleared, once instead of every quarter, because the pipe that fills it back up has been closed.

Deduplication workflow: records matched by domain in Clay before writing

Factor #2: We turn your reps' manual input into accurate data in seconds

Your reps spend more of their week researching leads than talking to them: website, LinkedIn, headcount, decision-makers, an email hunt, and an hour later a half-checked record lands in HubSpot with a name spelled wrong.

Multiply by twenty leads a week, and your sales team has spent five to ten hours producing exactly the dirty data you are paying someone to clean.

So we build the manual input workflow into your CRM. Your rep types a company name or whatever bit of info they have; within seconds the record fills with verified firmographics, the decision-makers who match your ICP, phone numbers, mobile numbers, and direct dials, and the intent signals your team cares about.

While we're at it, we stack your tool stack on purpose so that the cheapest tools source first, and only empty fields pass to the next provider, so you pay to enrich data on records that need it and nowhere else.

Also, understand that the enrichment stack for a client selling into Europe looks nothing like the North America one, because the data coverage gaps land in different places. That judgment is why two agencies with the same tools produce very different data.

Every other entry point gets the same treatment: form fills, identified website visitors, imported lists, and Slack requests all get the same lead enrichment within minutes.

Manual input workflow: enrichment builds a researched record in seconds

Factor #3: We catch job changes of your leads/prospects or champions while it is still news, so your contact data refreshes itself

This is the failure that costs the most and gets the least attention. Customers change contact information constantly, and a database that waits for the next audit falls behind. Your champion at a good account moves to a new company, and nothing in your CRM notices: the old record keeps an email that now bounces, and your sequences keep sending to it.

Meanwhile the person who knows your product is the warmest lead you will ever have at their new company, and nobody on your team knows they moved.

So we build monitors that catch the move while it is still news. When a job change signal lands, the workflow retires the old contact, creates a new record at the new company with the relationship history attached, and finds the replacement at the old account so coverage never drops.

The same logic covers the rest of the decay: emails re-verified before any campaign, acquired companies flagged, untouched records pushed back into verification. The longer version is in our post on Clay CRM automation.

Job change workflow: old record retired, new one created with history

Factor #4: We wire the RevOps layer, so records move from marketing to sales to customer success without breaking the customer experience

Most CRM data goes bad at the handoffs: marketing qualifies a lead in one tool, sales re-creates it in another, customer success opens a third record at closed-won, and six months later three teams hold three versions of the same customer.

So the hygiene work happens alongside the RevOps work, within your CRM at the level of objects, associations, and permissions.

A lead that marketing scores becomes the same record sales works and customer success inherits, with the source and every conversation attached, so your sales and marketing teams argue about the deal instead of the data.

Lifecycle transitions move on data already in the system, and the reports your marketing efforts depend on finally produce actionable insights your leadership can use for strategic decisions.

The rules are the sales part of the job: which field is worth making mandatory, and which will teach your reps to type a full stop past the validation. When the reports match the pipeline, the side spreadsheet your sales leader keeps tends to disappear on its own.

RevOps handoff workflow: one record across marketing, sales and customer success

Factor #5: We build it in your accounts and hand it over, with a scope and a finish line

The Clay tables, the matching logic, the manual input workflow, the enrichment stacks, the job change monitors, and the reporting all live under your logins, and so do the CRM records. Operate it with your team, hand it to a junior operator, or leave it working untouched, which is mostly what happens.

Most agencies keep the tools on their side, so the day the engagement ends your data starts rotting on schedule. Ours is a build with a defined handover, custom pricing set by database size and sources, and GDPR designed in from the first field, because providers must adhere to GDPR and CCPA, and your first party data deserves that care.

Factor #6: Your GTM teams get the rest of the engine plugged in once the data layer is trustworthy

This factor is why we take the job at all: clean, continuously refreshed records are the foundation of a GTM system, and most clients plug the next layer in within a quarter.

Cold outreach stops burning good accounts on dead contacts, and buyers notice: 42 percent of customers say generic emails frustrate them, and generic is what a rep writes from an empty record. Your inbound leads also get scored and routed in minutes, because the lead enrichment that decides where they go has already happened.

Lead scores get accurate because the fields they read are full, deanonymized website visitors land in the same clean customer database, buyer intent data stops being noisy, and paid audiences get built from the same first party data.

We've discussed the full architecture in how post on how to build a GTM system that works on autopilot, and the wider category argument in why we are not a lead generation agency.

Clean CRM data feeding outbound, inbound, paid and lead scoring

6 top CRM enrichment and data hygiene expert agencies worth considering in 2026

The six below split into three groups: the CRM platform specialists who fix the architecture underneath your data, the Clay-native builders who build the enrichment layer that feeds the CRM, and the cleanup services who take the mess and hand it back tidy.

Hiring from the wrong group is how companies spend sixty thousand euros and still have the problem they started with.

1. RevPartners

RevPartners homepage: RevOps and GTM engineering for businesses on HubSpot and Clay

RevPartners sells RevOps as a service on a retainer, an unusually honest response to the fact that revenue operations never finish. It is the only firm holding both HubSpot Elite Solutions Partner and Clay Elite Studio Partner status; Walker Sands acquired it in June 2026 while keeping the brand.

Very few firms can do both sides of the same problem, and the embedded model means the people who cleaned your data are still around when it drifts.

Best for

Companies that want the CRM cleaned as part of a broader rebuild of how the revenue team operates, on HubSpot, with a Clay layer feeding it.

Key strengths

  • HubSpot Elite plus Clay Elite Studio, a combination nobody else holds, with data warehouse syncs when reporting outgrows the CRM.

  • Migrations from Salesforce, Marketo, Pipedrive, and Dynamics into HubSpot.

  • Retainer-based, so hygiene keeps getting attention after the first cleanup.

Where it falls short: this is a HubSpot house, so a Salesforce team is in the wrong place, and the retainer is the point: if you want a defined project with a finish line and a handover, the model works against you.

2. Aptitude 8

Aptitude 8 homepage: technical consulting and HubSpot solutions agency

Some data problems are data model problems: the objects were set up wrong, the associations never made sense, and every team built workarounds on a foundation poured badly. Aptitude 8 is the firm for that situation, and it describes itself carefully as a technical consulting firm.

It is one of the largest technical teams in the HubSpot ecosystem, focused on architecture, migrations, and data governance, with clients including SXSW, Dow Jones, and Lenovo. They say plainly that they do not do inbound marketing or creative, which tells you where the depth is.

Best for

Mid-market and enterprise teams on HubSpot whose problem is the data model itself, or who need a complex migration done without losing history.

Key strengths

  • HubSpot Elite with accreditations in CRM implementation and custom integrations.

  • Governance, validation rules, permissions, and integration safeguards as core work.

  • AI-assisted cleanup jobs for duplicates and incomplete records.

Where it falls short: the fit is enterprise and the price follows. A forty-person team with a messy contact database needs a lighter engagement, and the enrichment layer is not their centre of gravity.

3. Go Nimbly

Go Nimbly homepage: revenue operations consultancy for go-to-market teams

Go Nimbly is an embedded RevOps consultancy with Salesforce, Gong, and Clay specializations, and data quality frameworks as a named focus area. Clients include Intercom, Zendesk, Twilio, and Coursera.

It is the Salesforce-side answer to the RevOps question, treating data quality as a governance problem across the whole revenue team instead of a cleanup ticket.

Best for

Growth-stage and enterprise SaaS teams on Salesforce whose data problem is really an operating model problem, and who want a partner embedded with the RevOps team.

Key strengths

  • Salesforce depth with Clay and Gong specializations, across whatever tech stack surrounds it.

  • Data integrations and data quality frameworks as a named service line.

  • Embedded, fractional model that outlasts a single project.

Where it falls short: engagements open with a planning phase of eight to twelve weeks before anything gets built, and the price and scope assume a RevOps function to embed into. A fifty-person team with a messy HubSpot is not who this serves.

4. The Kiln

The Kiln homepage: HubSpot implementation and RevOps agency

The Kiln describes itself as a Clay agency and pushes the platform further than anyone else in the category: CRM data cleaning, multi-step lead scoring, custom data pipelines, and the enrichment logic other agencies outsource to engineering. 2X acquired it in January 2026, keeping the brand.

If the standard waterfall does not cover your market and you need custom research and manual research at scale, they are among the few teams that will solve it: published cases include turning hundreds of hours a week of manual data collection into automated workflows.

Best for

RevOps and growth teams at Series B and beyond with an in-house operator who can own a Clay-native system, and a data problem the off-the-shelf tools cannot reach.

Key strengths

  • The deepest Clay engineering on the market, with HubSpot and Salesforce integration to match.

  • Custom data pipelines and scoring models built for your market instead of templates.

  • Listed on Clay's directory at $10k-plus a month with a three-month minimum.

Where it falls short: what comes back is engineered and needs an operator to keep it alive. We covered the trade in our guide to The Kiln alternatives.

5. Understory Agency

Understory Agency homepage: HubSpot and CRM data services agency

Understory works an allbound model: paid media, GTM engineering, LinkedIn content, creative, and HubSpot-native RevOps delivered as one pod on one target list. It made this year's Inc. 5000 list, with client logos including Zapier, Clay, and Expensify.

It is the only agency here where the CRM data layer feeds ads and outbound at once: Clay-enriched records become the ad audiences, the same records drive the sequences, and engagement flows back onto the HubSpot record.

Best for

Post-product-market-fit B2B companies on HubSpot with budget for at least two channels and two quarters, that want the data cleaned as part of working paid and outbound as one motion.

Key strengths

  • HubSpot Solutions Partner with Clay Enterprise Partner status and Instantly and HeyReach expert badges.

  • One data layer shared by paid media, outbound, and RevOps.

  • Launch in three to four weeks, results expected by month three.

Where it falls short: retainers last six months minimum with a pod attached, and third-party reviews put GTM engineering alone at five figures a month. If your job is CRM hygiene on its own, you are paying for a bundle.

6. Invensis

Invensis homepage: outsourced data cleansing and back-office services provider

Invensis is an outsourced data cleansing operation within a much larger IT and BPO business: 6,000-plus staff, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification, and 25-plus years behind it. The service covers deduplication, scrubbing, verification, merging, and CRM database cleanup across the major platforms, with a data accuracy target written into the contract.

If you inherited half a million records from an acquisition, or years of backlog nobody will ever clear internally, a dedicated team working at volume is the pragmatic answer, and it costs less than an agency retainer.

Best for

Enterprises and mid-market companies with a huge one-time backlog, strict compliance requirements, and no internal bandwidth to clear it.

Key strengths

  • Volume capacity that no agency on this list can match.

  • ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and HIPAA compliance.

  • Works across Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, and Zoho.

Where it falls short: what you do not get is a system. The records come back clean and the pipes that dirtied them are untouched, so the clock starts again the moment the project closes.

How to choose the right CRM enrichment and data hygiene agency for your situation

The right agency depends on where the problem is, how much of the system you want to own, and whether the enrichment matters as much as the hygiene. Work out which group you belong in before you take a sales call.

Choose based on whether you want to own the data management system or rent the service

Some agencies build in your accounts and hand over full ownership, so the customer data stays yours. Others keep everything on their side, and you get reports and a subscription.

Neither is wrong as long as you know which one you are buying. Lean teams without an ops hire usually do better with a system that works untouched than with a service they have to manage.

Choose based on where the problem actually is

If the architecture is broken, hire a platform specialist: Aptitude 8 for the enterprise data model, RevPartners when the HubSpot revenue operation needs rebuilding, Go Nimbly if you live in Salesforce. No Clay-native shop, ourselves included, will serve you well until that foundation is fixed.

If you have a specific backlog and a specific budget, hire a cleanup service like Invensis, knowing you are buying a snapshot. If you want the data to stay clean without anybody maintaining it, and the enrichment matters as much as the hygiene, that is what we build.

Choose based on your tech stack, data sources, refresh cadence, and security certifications

Ask every agency how many providers make up their data enrichment waterfall, how the data collection happens, what data depth each source returns, and which data types and key features they offer. Ask how contact enrichment fills phone numbers, mobile numbers, and direct dials, and how they get verified.

Then ask whether email address validation happens before every send, whether they enrich data in real time or in batches, what the refresh cadence is for stale data, and which security certifications they hold and how they treat your first party data.

CRM data enrichment tools that rely on a single provider will always have gaps, and so will any agency built on one.

If you are not sure where you stand, start with an audit: know how many CRM records are stale, how many duplicate records exist, and which fields are missing, because a cleanup bought without that number is a cleanup you will buy again.

The whole CRM hygiene system running around Clay

Which of these agencies is best for you, in one line each

One question sorts shortlists faster than anything else: ask each agency what happens to your CRM data quality six months after they leave, and listen for whether the answer describes a system or another engagement.

  • Choose Nebor if you want continuous CRM data enrichment, lead enrichment, and hygiene built as a system in your own accounts, by people who sold before they built.

  • Choose RevPartners if you want the CRM cleaned as part of a HubSpot RevOps rebuild with Clay on top.

  • Choose Aptitude 8 if your HubSpot data model itself is the problem.

  • Choose Go Nimbly if your stack is Salesforce and the operating model is the mess.

  • Choose The Kiln if the data problem is too hard for the standard tools and you have an operator to own the build.

  • Choose Understory if your ads and your outbound need to work from the same clean HubSpot data.

  • Choose Invensis if you have a huge one-time backlog and no bandwidth to clear it.
