A multichannel ABM platform that ran account ads, chat, web personalization, email signature banners and attribution together, merged into DemandScience in November 2024 and no longer sold under the Terminus name.
What is
Terminus
You cannot buy Terminus in 2026, and any listicle still ranking it against 6sense has not checked. Terminus ran account-based ads, chat, web personalization, email signature banners and attribution from a single hub for more than a thousand customers, then merged into DemandScience in November 2024 and lost its name in the process. The Engagement Hub, shipped in 2020, was five acquisitions bolted together. BrightFunnel supplied attribution, Sigstr the email signature banners, Ramble the chat, GrowFlare predictive fit scoring and Zylotech the customer data platform. Ad Experiences ran on its own demand-side platform, so display, video and CTV inventory reached target accounts without going through LinkedIn. Every trace points elsewhere now, with terminus.com redirecting to demandscience.com, the app at app.terminusplatform.com landing on app.demandscienceplatform.com, and the HubSpot and Salesforce listings renamed. The old marketing site still sits one click deep at terminus.com/home/ with no merger notice, feeding the reviews that keep calling Terminus current. Do not buy Terminus, because the name no longer maps to anything you can license and the owner now sells managed campaigns rather than software your own team drives. DemandScience says outright that Ionic "isn't a platform you buy and run yourself". Anyone who wants what Terminus was should look at Demandbase, 6sense or RollWorks.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
Terminus integrations are DemandScience integrations now, because the listings were renamed rather than rebuilt. The plumbing survived the merger and the branding is only halfway through the move, so check what a marketplace page actually connects to before you trust it.
Salesforce | The AppExchange managed package is listed as DemandScience Ads & Sales Experiences (ABM Insights) and pushes account engagement and surge metrics, weekly sales engagement emails and relationship data into Salesforce. The listing body still calls Terminus "the only native ABM platform in market", which tells you how far the rebrand got. |
HubSpot | The old Terminus marketplace URL now redirects to the DemandScience app, which syncs contacts, companies, deals and both email and chat lists and engagements in each direction. It shows 50 plus installs against a 1 out of 5 rating from two reviews, and the reviewer's complaint is that performance data does not come back into HubSpot the way it does for Salesforce. |
The platform itself | app.terminusplatform.com returns a 301 to app.demandscienceplatform.com, so existing customers sign into the same product under a new name. app.terminus.com, hub.terminus.com, platform.terminus.com and chat.terminus.com no longer resolve in DNS at all. |
Email Experiences, formerly Sigstr | The email signature product Terminus bought in 2020 runs as DemandScience Email Experiences at email.demandscienceplatform.com, and its terms of service still point back at app.sigstr.com. It has no product page on demandscience.com, so an old Terminus link is the only route to it. |
Advertising channels | Ad Experiences was a demand-side platform your team operated. The DemandScience equivalent is a managed media service across display, social, CTV, video and audio where DemandScience "handle buys, pacing, and frequency", so the account targeting carried over and the self-serve console did not come with it. |
Marketing automation and sales tools | Terminus shipped integrations with Marketo, Salesforce Pardot, Microsoft Dynamics, Slack, Salesloft and Google Analytics before the merger. None of them are documented on demandscience.com today, so confirm each one with a rep instead of trusting a comparison page that copied the old Terminus site. |
Ionic and VID | Ionic is the intelligence layer DemandScience runs under its programs, reachable at app.demandscience.com/ionic for reporting, and VID handles website visitor identification. DemandScience names no CRM or warehouse connections on either product page, which is a real gap for anyone who wants the scores in their own stack. |
What is missing | There is no Clay integration under either name, no Zapier app for Terminus or DemandScience, and we found no public API documentation on demandscience.com. Anything you want to wire up yourself starts with a sales conversation, and that is a long way from where Terminus sat when it published an open integrations directory. |
Pro’s
The Engagement Hub put account ads, chat, web personalization and email signature banners on one target account list, and very few platforms in the category sold all four channels under a single licence.
Ad Experiences ran on Terminus's own demand-side platform, so display, video and CTV inventory reached named accounts without paying LinkedIn's floor prices on every impression.
Sigstr, bought in 2020 and rebranded as Email Experiences, turned the mail a team already sends into an ad channel, and that product survived the merger and still runs at email.demandscienceplatform.com.
It sat below Demandbase and 6sense on price for years, which made it the usual pick for a mid-market marketing team that wanted account advertising without an enterprise contract.
Customer logos on the old site include Autodesk, Dow Jones, NTT and Gainsight, so the platform did real work at enterprise scale before the merger took the brand off the market.
The Salesforce and HubSpot managed packages still exist under the DemandScience name, so an existing customer's CRM plumbing did not break when the branding changed.
Cons
The brand is finished, with terminus.com redirecting to demandscience.com, the app hostname redirecting to app.demandscienceplatform.com and no Terminus product page anywhere on the DemandScience site.
DemandScience sells no ABM platform now, and its own ABM page answers the question "Do I need an ABM platform?" with "Not necessarily", steering buyers into managed programs run by its Labs team.
Ionic, the intelligence layer that replaced the Terminus scoring work, is described by DemandScience as something that "isn't a platform you buy and run yourself", so the self-serve control that made Terminus attractive has gone.
Chat Experiences and the standalone ad console have no product page under DemandScience and terminus.com/chat/ now redirects to a blog index, so a buyer gets no straight answer on whether either channel still runs.
DemandScience appears in Have I Been Pwned with 121.8 million records from a February 2024 exposure, added on 13 November 2024, the day after the merger was announced.
