A Chrome extension that coaches a rep live on pace, talk ratio and objections, and turns the dialer they already use into a parallel dialer running up to five lines.
What is
Trellus
Trellus sells parallel dialing at $149.99 per rep each month on a credit card, where the floor at Orum is nine seats on an annual contract. It listens while a rep is on the phone and prompts them live on pace, talk ratio and objections, riding inside the dialer that team already uses. It ships as a Chrome extension, so the dialing half turns whatever platform the rep already works in, Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo, HubSpot or Salesforce, into a parallel dialer running up to five lines with voicemails dropped automatically. Trellus states plainly in its FAQ that pickup carries a 300 millisecond delay, which every parallel dialer has. The coaching sits in an overlay beside the dialer, with a live transcript scrolling as the prospect talks, nudges to slow down, and objection handlers and competitor battlecards you edit yourself. Around that Trellus adds call scoring, a virtual salesfloor, practice bots that argue back like a prospect and a LinkedIn inbox manager. Buy Trellus when the reps already like their dialer and the gap is the conversation itself, because it layers over Orum, Nooks and PhoneBurner as happily as it replaces them. No Nebor client runs it, since our work starts upstream at list quality. Team-grade coaching arrives on the unpriced Business tier, so test the self-serve plan first.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
Trellus does not connect to your dialer through an API, it injects itself into the dialer's own web page. On install the extension asks for access to a fixed list of URLs, and everything it can do inside a platform depends on being allowed onto that page. The upside is that it works on top of tools that have no partner programme at all.
Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo and HubSpot | The four platforms Trellus is marketed around, with the extension requesting page access to app.salesloft.com, web.outreach.io, app.apollo.io and app.hubspot.com. Inside these the full product runs, meaning power and parallel dialing on the platform's own cadences plus the live coaching overlay, so the rep never leaves the tab they were working in. |
Salesforce | Page access covers both salesforce.com and force.com, so Trellus embeds into Lightning and into custom pages built on the platform. Useful for teams that dial from a Salesforce list view or a call task rather than a separate engagement platform. |
Orum, Nooks, Salesfinity and other dialers | Trellus lists 22 platforms it embeds into, including Orum, Nooks, Salesfinity, Koncert, PhoneBurner, ConnectAndSell, Convoso, FrontSpin, Aircall, Outplay, ZoomInfo Engage, Aloware, CallRail and 8x8. On these it acts as the coaching and analytics layer rather than the dialer, so you keep the calling platform you bought and add live guidance on top of it. |
Google Sheets and Clay | Power dialing works straight off a Google Sheet or a Clay table from the Power plan up, which lets a list built and scored in Clay be dialed without loading it into a sequencer first. This is the one integration worth testing if your prospecting already lives in Clay tables. |
Dialpad, Kixie and RingCentral | All three appear in the extension's declared page-permission list, covering dialpad.com, kixie.com and the RingCentral embeddable widget. Coverage here is the coaching overlay on top of a telephony product, so treat it as agent assist rather than a dialing upgrade. |
Requested but unlisted platforms | The integrations page offers to build a missing dialer integration free of charge within one to two days, with founders@trellus.ai as the contact. Trellus's demo form separately lists Gong Engage, Amplemarket, Zoho, GoHighLevel, OpenPhone, Unify, Close, Lemlist and Attio as embed targets buyers ask for, so the working list is longer than the public page. |
What is missing | No public API, no Zapier or n8n app, and no Firefox, Safari or mobile support because the whole product is a Chrome extension. There is also no contact database and no mobile-number waterfall, so the numbers being dialed have to come from enrichment you run somewhere else. |
Pro’s
It layers over the dialer you already pay for, and the public integrations page runs to 22 platforms including Orum, Nooks, Salesfinity, Koncert, PhoneBurner and ConnectAndSell, so a team can add coaching without pulling out its calling stack.
Prices are published and self-serve at $99.99 and $149.99 per user each month with no seat minimum, so a single rep can test it on a card while Orum and Nooks both quote only after a call.
The security page names every Chrome permission Trellus requests, lists the exact URLs it injects into and links to the unobfuscated extension source, and that much disclosure means a security review takes an afternoon.
Its FAQ puts the parallel pickup delay at 300 milliseconds in plain text instead of marketing a sub-second bridge, and a vendor naming its own weakest number is worth something when you are sitting through demos.
Coaching lands while the call is live, so a rep reads the transcript as the prospect speaks, gets a nudge on pace and can pull an objection handler they wrote themselves rather than waiting for a scorecard the next morning.
Power plans and above dial straight off Google Sheets and Clay tables, which suits a team that builds and scores lists in Clay before anything reaches a sequencer.
Cons
Third-party evidence is thin, with G2 carrying a handful of reviews against roughly 1,300 for Nooks and 780 for Orum, so most of what you can verify comes from Trellus's own site and 56 Chrome Web Store ratings across 7,000 users.
The live pricing page lists Power at $99.99 and Parallel at $149.99 while Trellus's own blog and most third-party breakdowns still quote $59.99 for Power, so budget from the vendor page rather than the comparison articles.
Customisable real-time coaching for a team, the feature the product is named after, sits on the Business tier with custom reporting and AI modelling, and that is the one plan carrying no published price.
Everything runs through a Chrome extension injected into pages another vendor controls, so there is no Firefox or Safari support and a Salesloft or Outreach interface change can break the overlay until Trellus ships a fix.
Five parallel lines is half of what Orum runs on Ascend, and a Product Hunt reviewer describes being turned away when asking for support beyond the main enterprise platforms.
