Apify

Apify is a serverless web scraping platform of ready-made Actors that capture data from any site, then feed it into your enrichment and routing stack.

What is

Apify

Some buying triggers only exist on a web page, with no API to pull them from. Apify is the tool we point at those pages. It is a cloud platform for web scraping and browser automation, built to extract structured data on a schedule and hand it to the rest of the stack in a clean, repeatable form that holds at real volume. It runs on serverless programs called Actors. You pick a ready-made one from a store of thousands, point it at a target, and it handles proxies, headless browsers, and anti-bot defenses for you. When a job is genuinely custom, you deploy your own code on the same managed runtime. In a GTM stack Apify lives at the signal and data-collection layer, the step right before enrichment. It scrapes job boards, directories, reviews, maps, and social pages, then feeds those rows into Clay or n8n for enrichment, scoring, and routing into the CRM. We run Apify constantly at Nebor as the raw capture step behind client signal workflows, and it has earned that spot through repeated use. When a trigger lives on a page and nowhere else, an Actor grabs it on a schedule and pipes it straight into the system we build.

Integrations and the modern GTM stack

Apify is scraping infrastructure with the strongest developer toolkit on this page, and refreshingly, no CRM pretensions at all:

Zapier, Make, n8n

Official connectors run scrapers and collect their datasets inside your automations.

Google Sheets and Drive

Results export straight to where your lists already live.

AI agent frameworks

Apify's scrapers plug directly into LangChain and LlamaIndex as tools an AI agent can use.

Airbyte

Scraped data pipelines into your warehouse.

Apify CLI

The official command line tool is the real developer workflow: build, test and deploy scrapers from the terminal.

MCP server

The official server exposes more than 6,000 ready-made scrapers as tools any AI assistant can run, plus there is a first-party Claude Code plugin.

API and webhooks

A full API with TypeScript and Python libraries, and notifications when runs finish.

Pro’s

A store of thousands of prebuilt Actors means most scraping jobs are live within minutes.

Managed proxies, headless browsers, and CAPTCHA handling remove the hardest parts of scraping.

You can deploy fully custom code when no existing Actor fits the target.

Clean API, webhook, and dataset outputs plug straight into Clay, n8n, and your CRM.

Scheduling turns one-off scrapes into reliable recurring signal capture.

A free tier with monthly credits lets you prove a workflow before paying.

Cons

Consumption-based compute-unit billing makes monthly cost hard to forecast at scale.

Proxy spend often exceeds compute spend once volume climbs, inflating the real bill.

Building or modifying a custom Actor carries a real learning curve for non-developers.

Scraping targets can break Actors when sites change their layout or defenses.
