Clearbit was a B2B enrichment and intent provider now folded into HubSpot as Breeze Intelligence, accessed only inside HubSpot CRM via credits.
What is
Clearbit
Clearbit was a standalone B2B data provider built for company and contact enrichment, reverse IP company lookup, and buyer intent signals. Its core job was to turn a thin record or an anonymous web visitor into a fuller picture of who the company was and whether they were in market right now. HubSpot acquired Clearbit in late 2023 and relaunched the technology as Breeze Intelligence in late 2024, so there is no separate Clearbit product to buy anymore. Enrichment, form shortening, and buyer intent now run natively inside HubSpot CRM and are paid for entirely through HubSpot Credits. That puts it firmly inside the HubSpot stack. Standard enrichment comes bundled with paid Core Seats, with a monthly credit allowance by tier and add-on credit packs once volume climbs higher. It only fits teams already living in HubSpot, since access requires a paid subscription and the legacy free tools were retired. At Nebor we build GTM systems on HubSpot, and when a client already runs it, Breeze Intelligence is a clean native fit for enrichment and visitor de-anonymization. If they do not, we reach for Clay or LeadsFactory instead of adopting HubSpot purely to unlock it, since the dependency is not worth it on its own.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
Clearbit was bought by HubSpot, and that changes what connecting to it even means today:
HubSpot | Everything Clearbit was known for now lives inside HubSpot under the name Breeze Intelligence: enriching records, spotting buyer intent, and shortening forms. If you are on HubSpot, you buy credits and it just works inside your CRM. |
Salesforce | The old Salesforce package still works for companies that already had it, but it is officially labeled legacy and closed to new customers. |
Sunset tools | The free tools people remember fondly, the Gmail extension, the Slack app and the free logo API, were all shut down through 2025. |
The honest takeaway | If your company does not run on HubSpot, Clearbit is no longer a tool you can buy. Plan around that rather than around old blog posts. |
Pro’s
Enrichment runs natively inside HubSpot with no external sync to maintain.
Reverse IP lookup surfaces companies visiting your site for de-anonymization.
Buyer intent and firmographic data feed HubSpot workflows and scoring directly.
Form shortening auto-fills known fields to lift conversion on capture forms.
Credit model lets you scale enrichment spend up or down by usage.
Cons
There is no standalone product, so you must run HubSpot to use it at all.
Credits expire monthly with no rollover, so unused allocation is lost.
Legacy free tools and the public Logo API were discontinued in 2025.
Some features such as buyer intent require a Professional tier or higher.
The locked-in HubSpot dependency limits use across other CRMs and stacks.
