Avoma

An all-in-one platform that schedules the meeting, records and summarizes it, then scores the call and rolls the result into a pipeline forecast.

What is

Avoma

Avoma books the meeting, records it, writes the notes, and then reports on what those calls say about your pipeline. It covers four jobs most teams buy separately, from the scheduling link a prospect clicks through to the forecast a sales leader reads on Monday morning. The recorder is a bot called Avoma Notetaker that joins from your calendar invite, transcribes in more than 75 languages, and posts summaries against custom templates. Ask Avoma answers questions across the archive, and CRM fields for MEDDIC or SPICED get filled from what was said on the call. The other three modules sit around that core. A scheduler handles booking links, group and round robin availability, and a Lead Router that qualifies inbound forms and hands a prospect straight to the right AE. Conversation Intelligence adds call scoring, trackers and coaching dashboards, and Revenue Intelligence carries deal risk alerts, forecasting and win-loss analysis. Avoma is a fair recommendation for a team that wants the calendar, the call record and the forecast under one login. We have not run it at Nebor, and we point clients to this end of the market by what they already own. The catch is that the two modules doing the selling arrive as paid add-ons.

Integrations and the modern GTM stack

Avoma's integration list is built around getting a conversation into the system and a summary back out into the CRM. The conferencing and dialer coverage is the widest in the lighter end of this category, and the developer surface is the thinnest, since API access and webhooks only appear on the Organization plan.

Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams

The three platforms most calls happen on. The Avoma Notetaker bot reads the join link from the calendar invite and joins at the scheduled start, announcing that the meeting is being recorded. GoToMeeting, BlueJeans, Lifesize, Highfive and UberConference are also listed.

Dialers

Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Kixie, Koncert, Salesloft, Groove and Outreach all feed calls into the same archive. This is the part of the list Fathom has none of, and it is the reason an SDR floor working the phone can use Avoma the same way an AE using Zoom does.

Salesforce and HubSpot

Notes, action items and call summaries write back against contacts, accounts and opportunities, and note templates can populate MEDDIC or SPICED fields directly. HubSpot and Marketo form fields also drive the Lead Router rules if you buy that add-on.

Pipedrive, Copper, Zoho CRM and Zendesk Sell

The reason a mid-market team ends up here. Most notetakers at this price stop at Salesforce and HubSpot, so a company running Pipedrive or Zoho gets a native write-back instead of building one through Zapier.

Slack, ClickUp and Microsoft Teams chat

Summaries, recordings and action items post into channels after a call, and ClickUp turns follow-ups into tasks. This is the collaboration layer rather than a live coaching feed, so alerts land once the meeting has finished.

Zapier

Available on any paid plan and connected with a Client Key and Secret generated under Organization Settings, so it reaches the rest of a stack without waiting for the API tier. This is the practical automation route for anyone on Startup.

API and webhooks

Documented at dev.avoma.com with endpoints covering meetings, recordings, transcriptions, notes, scorecards and webhooks, rate limited to 60 requests a minute. Access starts on the Organization plan, so pushing transcripts into Clay or a warehouse means moving up from Startup first.

MCP server

Lists meetings, fetches transcripts and pulls smart notes into an AI assistant using an API key from Settings, Organization, Developer. Avoma's own guide says it works with Claude Desktop only today, so other MCP clients are not supported yet.

What is missing

No native n8n node, no Attio or Dynamics connection, and no bot-free desktop capture, so calls a recorder cannot join never reach the archive. Ask Avoma also runs per user until Enterprise, where global search across the whole workspace switches on.

Pro’s

  • One vendor covers the scheduling link, the call record, the coaching scorecard and the forecast, so a team can retire a booking tool, a notetaker and a separate conversation intelligence contract in the same renewal cycle.

  • Dialer coverage is unusually wide at this price, reaching Aircall, Dialpad, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Kixie, Koncert, Salesloft, Groove and Outreach, so a team that lives on the phone gets the same record as a team that lives on Zoom.

  • The CRM list runs past Salesforce and HubSpot into Pipedrive, Copper, Zoho CRM and Zendesk Sell, and that covers the mid-market teams Fathom and Fireflies leave writing their own sync.

  • Notes can be written straight into MEDDIC or SPICED fields on the CRM record, so a manager opening a deal reads the qualification framework instead of scrolling a wall of transcript.

  • The 14-day trial opens the Organization plan with every add-on switched on and asks for no card, so you can price the whole bundle before deciding which modules you keep.

  • It holds 4.6 on G2 across more than 1,300 reviews and has been shipping this product since well before the current wave of notetakers, so the coaching and forecasting parts are not first drafts.

Cons

  • The all-in-one pitch does not survive checkout. Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence cost $29 a seat a month each on top of the base plan, so the full bundle on Startup lands at $77 a seat a month against a $19 headline.

  • There is no free plan on the pricing page, only the 14-day trial, so a team that wants to sit on a notetaker for a quarter before paying anything is better served by Fathom or Fireflies.

  • Capture happens through a bot that joins from the calendar invite and there is no desktop or bot-free mode, so a prospect whose legal team blocks third-party recorders leaves you with no record of that call.

  • Transcription accuracy is the recurring complaint in reviews, particularly on strong accents, background noise and technical vocabulary, so the 75-language number is worth testing on your own calls before a rollout.

  • API access and webhooks start on the Organization plan and the MCP server only talks to Claude Desktop today, so a Startup-tier account has very little programmatic route out of the product.

How it fits your stack

Diagram showing how Avoma fits into a GTM stack: sales calls (Gong, Fireflies.ai) feed into Avoma, and its output flows to your crm (Salesforce, HubSpot), coaching (Notion), follow-ups (Gmail).

Alternatives

Avoma is a bundle, so the comparison depends on which part of it you came for. Fireflies and Fathom do the notetaking alone for less and both keep a free plan, AskElephant automates the post-call CRM and handoff work instead of reporting on it, and Gong is where deal scoring and forecasting get serious once those numbers drive a board meeting.
