A sales call recorder with a Loom-shaped past, running with or without a bot, filling CRM fields in HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio and Pipedrive, and scoring deals against MEDDIC or SPICED.
What is
Claap
Your prospect joins the demo and the first name in the participant list is a recording bot wearing your company logo. Claap can skip that step, capturing the call through a Chrome extension or a Mac app instead, then writing the notes, filling your CRM fields and drafting the follow-up email. The company started in Paris in 2021 as an async video tool, a French answer to Loom, and turned toward sales when that market shrank. Lemlist bought it in October 2025 and has kept it running under its own name. The heritage still shows in screen and webcam recording, trimming, stitching, chapters and a shared video workspace. On top of that sits the sales layer, transcribing in 99 languages, mapping what was said onto standard or custom fields in HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio and Pipedrive, and scoring deals against MEDDIC, BANT or SPICED. Smart Tables turn your call history into queryable columns, and a hosted MCP server opens all of it to Claude. Claap is the honest pick for a European mid-market team that wants CRM autofill without an enterprise contract, since the whole sales layer sits at $60 a seat and the number is published. We have not run it at Nebor, and the first thing we would stress test is summary quality on your messiest four-person calls.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
Claap lists a little over 30 integrations, and they fall into two groups that came from two eras of the company. The CRM and telephony connections carry the sales product, while the Notion, Linear and Jira links are leftovers from the async video years that still earn their place for a product team.
HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio and Pipedrive | The heart of the product. Claap maps call content onto standard or custom fields, can create new fields, and lets you choose fully automatic writing, a rep review step, or a mix per field. HubSpot enrichment reaches Meetings, Calls and Leads objects since June 2026. Business tier and above. |
Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams | Native calendar-driven recording on all three, with a bot that joins the meeting if you want one. Google and Outlook calendars both sync, and auto-recording rules decide which meetings get captured rather than leaving it to the rep. |
Chrome extension, Mac desktop app and mobile | The botless path. The extension records any browser-based conferencing tool, the Mac app records any application, and iOS and Android apps arrived in June 2026 for in-person meetings. Useful for teams whose legal counsel dislikes a visible bot, though consent rules still apply where you operate. |
lemlist, Aircall, Ringover and Allo | Phone calls get pulled into the same timeline as video meetings, so a rep working the phone gets the same summaries and CRM writes. lemlist joined this list in February 2026, which is the first visible product effect of the acquisition. |
Slack, Notion, Confluence and Google Workspace | Summaries, clips and full recordings post into Slack channels and embed inside Notion, Confluence, Google Docs and Slides. Discord is supported too. This is where the video-wiki heritage still does real work for teams that share recordings internally. |
Linear, Jira, Asana, Trello, ClickUp, GitHub and GitLab | Action items and clipped moments turn into tickets in the tracker your team already uses. These date from the async collaboration era and are more valuable to a product or CS team than to a sales floor. |
Claap MCP and the API | A hosted MCP server exposes calls, emails, meetings, deals and labelled insights to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf and n8n, and it is free for existing users on any plan. The API is unlimited even on the free tier, which is unusually open for this category. |
Gong import | Since December 2025 you can import existing Gong recordings into Claap and run them through Insight Templates, Smart Tables and Claap AI. Access needs a request to support, and the obvious use is testing Claap against a Gong archive before switching. |
What is missing | No Clay integration, and no native connection to Instantly or Smartlead. Zapier and the MCP server are the routes to anything else. If your enrichment and sending run through Clay tables, call data reaches them through Zapier, a webhook or the API rather than a first-party app. |
Pro’s
Pricing sits on the page in a category where most rivals hide it, with a free tier, Pro at $32 a seat and Business at $60 a seat on annual billing, so you can size the spend before anyone books a call.
Recording works with a bot or without one, through the Chrome extension, the Mac desktop app and the iOS and Android apps that landed in June 2026, so compliance-sensitive teams and reps sitting in the room both get covered.
CRM autofill reaches Attio and Pipedrive alongside Salesforce and HubSpot, and that matters for the European mid-market teams this product serves, most of whom never bought Salesforce.
AI Fields and Smart Tables let you run a new prompt across the whole back catalogue of calls, so a question you think of in August can be answered against every call recorded since March.
The hosted MCP server is free for existing users and hands Claude or ChatGPT labelled signal such as objections and pain points rather than raw transcript text, so answers stay consistent between queries.
Video messaging survived the pivot, so one seat also covers recorded product walkthroughs, async updates and video follow-ups without paying for Loom on the side.
Cons
Summary quality is the complaint that keeps surfacing, with reviewers reporting flattened nuance on fast multi-speaker calls and stumbles on strong accents or jargon, and a teardown by rival notetaker tldv found a summary built around one participant when three people were on the call.
The 4.7 rating across roughly 400 G2 reviews reads better than it is for a sales buyer, because a large share of that praise describes the async video product rather than the CRM autofill you would be buying.
Everything a revenue team wants sits on the Business tier, so the $32 Pro plan is a note-taker with video editing and the free plan stops at 10 videos and 300 minutes in total.
AI credits are pooled per workspace at 1000 per Business licence each month and unlimited recording length is a $20 per seat add-on called Power Recorder, so the sticker price will understate the bill for a heavy team.
Lemlist has owned Claap since October 2025 and has talked publicly about taking it from $2M to $10M in ARR inside a year, so expect the roadmap to bend toward lemlist's own sequencer rather than staying neutral about the sending stack you already run.
