A relationship-first CRM that captures people from LinkedIn and other socials in one click, syncs your inbox, calendar and WhatsApp for context, and runs AI assistants over the result.
What is
folk
You meet someone at a conference, trade a few LinkedIn messages, and three weeks later the thread is buried and nobody follows up. folk is a CRM built for that kind of pipeline, where deals come from people you already know and the record fills itself from your inbox and your LinkedIn rather than from typed notes. Capture runs through folkX, a Chrome extension that pulls a person off LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, X, Instagram or TikTok in one click and fills in the missing email and phone using Clearbit, Dropcontact, Apollo and three other providers behind a single button. Gmail, Outlook, calendar and WhatsApp sync then build the interaction history on their own. Four AI assistants sit on top of that, handling follow-up timing, meeting recaps, company research and triggered email sends, alongside AI fields that keep attributes current. folk shipped fast in 2026, adding an MCP server in July, iOS and Android apps the same month, and Tasks on 6 August. folk is a yes for an agency or a founder-led team of under twenty whose revenue comes from a network, and a no once the reporting has to carry a board meeting. The cheap tier stops at pipelines and campaigns, so deals and the API push you to $48 a seat. We build on HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
folk lists 30-plus native connections across social capture, communication, enrichment and automation, and its pricing page counts 5,000-plus integrations once Zapier and Make are included. The distinction worth holding onto is that the social side runs through a browser extension rather than an API, and the developer surface is gated to Premium.
LinkedIn and Sales Navigator | Handled entirely by the folkX Chrome extension, which captures a profile, enriches the missing email and phone, and drops the person into a group or pipeline without leaving the tab. folk's own help centre states there is no native LinkedIn integration for automatic syncing, so a full connection list still comes in as a LinkedIn export file. |
X, Instagram and TikTok | The same extension works on these profiles for one-click capture, which is unusual in a B2B CRM and useful for teams whose top of funnel is creator or community driven. Facebook and WhatsApp capture are listed as coming to the extension rather than shipped. |
Gmail, Outlook and Google Calendar | Contacts and interactions sync in so the timeline builds on its own, with Google Contacts also supported. This runs one way by design, since folk treats itself as the source of truth and changes made in folk do not push back to the connected mailbox or contact list. |
WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business | Conversations and contacts import into the record, which matters for the agency and consultancy buyers folk targets in markets where a good share of deal traffic runs over WhatsApp. The Follow-up Assistant reads these threads alongside email when it suggests timing. |
Enrichment providers | Clearbit, Dropcontact, Apollo, Prospeo, Datagma and PeopleDataLabs sit behind the one-click enrichment button and burn folk's own credit pool. Dropcontact and Datagma being in the mix helps on European data, where a single US-first provider usually thins out. |
API, webhooks and MCP | The REST API at developer.folk.app covers people, companies, deals, groups, notes, tasks, users and custom fields, with an interactions endpoint in beta, plus webhooks, pagination, filtering, rate limits, versioning and a published OpenAPI spec. folk MCP shipped in July 2026 for agent access. All of it needs Premium. |
Zapier, Make and n8n | Zapier and Make are the listed automation partners and carry the long tail, including Slack notifications, which folk has no native connector for. n8n works through an HTTP Request node with Bearer auth on your folk API key, and folk publishes a Typeform to n8n to folk walkthrough as the reference build. |
Meetings, calling and documents | tldv and Fireflies push meeting notes in, Quo and KrispCall cover calling, and PandaDoc, Salesforge, Allo and Reached round out the native list. OpenAI and ChatGPT also appear as listed connections alongside folk's own AI assistants. |
What is missing | There is no native two-way sync with HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, and we found no Clay integration in either direction. If folk has to sit next to an existing CRM or an enrichment layer, that bridge is yours to build and maintain through the API, Zapier or Make. |
Pro’s
folkX is the fastest lead capture we have seen at this price, taking a person off LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, X, Instagram or TikTok in one click and filling the missing email and phone in the same motion.
Enrichment fans out across Clearbit, Dropcontact, Apollo, Prospeo, Datagma and PeopleDataLabs behind one button, so match rates hold up better than a single-provider lookup on a European list.
Email, calendar and WhatsApp sync build the interaction history without anyone logging activity, which is the part that decides whether a small team keeps a CRM alive after month two.
Standard includes unlimited members at $24 a seat annually with pipelines, campaigns and enrichment, so a five-person agency runs a working CRM for around $120 a month.
The 2026 release run is real rather than a roadmap slide, with an MCP server in July, iOS and Android apps the same month, business card scanning at the end of July and Tasks on 6 August.
Reviewers keep naming the Notion-like interface and the twenty-minute setup as the reason adoption sticks, and folk reports more than 5,000 companies on the product.
Cons
Deals, custom objects, email sequences, dashboards, workspace roles and the API all sit on Premium at $48 a seat annually, so the parts most buyers assume are core cost double the entry price.
There is no marketing automation and no general workflow builder, since the automation folk ships is email-shaped, so nurture, lifecycle scoring and anything past a triggered send needs a second platform.
Reporting is the complaint that repeats across G2, Capterra and hands-on reviews, with dashboards arriving only on Premium and stopping at pipeline velocity and activity, so cohort views and attribution get exported elsewhere.
Everything is metered per member per month, at 500 enrichment credits, 2,000 AI field credits and 2,000 messages on Standard, so a team running real outbound volume hits the ceiling and buys its way up.
No native sync exists with HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive and we found no Clay integration either, so moving folk data into an existing stack runs through the API, Zapier, Make or an n8n HTTP call you maintain yourself.
