PhoneBurner

PhoneBurner

A single line power dialer that walks your list one number at a time, so the person who answers hears a voice immediately instead of the pause a parallel dialer leaves.

What is

PhoneBurner

PhoneBurner is a power dialer, so it works one line at a time and moves to the next number the moment a rep finishes the last call. The rep is already on the line when it rings, so whoever picks up hears a voice straight away instead of the pause a parallel dialer leaves. It carries its own contact database, so your lists live inside PhoneBurner and LeadStream routes fresh leads to whichever rep should get them. One click voicemail drops, templated follow-up email and dispositions that fire workflows all run inside the session, and that is how the vendor reaches 60 to 80 contacts an hour. Two paid add-ons carry the answer-rate work. ARMOR registers your numbers with carriers, watches them across the major US networks and argues false spam flags back off, and PhoneBurner reports 15 percent higher answer rates on numbers running it. Connect Scores read carrier signals and skip numbers unlikely to pick up. Pick PhoneBurner when the conversation matters more than the dial count and your list is North American, since it will only dial the United States and Canada. Nebor has never put a client on it, and most of our calling lists are European. A power dialer also needs a deep list to earn its seat.

Integrations and the modern GTM stack

PhoneBurner keeps contacts in its own database, so nearly every integration is about getting records in and pushing call outcomes back out. Eight CRMs connect natively and everything else routes through Zapier, webhooks or the open API, and the API only starts on the Professional plan.

Salesforce

A native Salesforce app that drops the dialer panel inside the CRM, so reps launch sessions from Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Tasks, Cases or a custom object without switching tabs. Dispositions, notes, recordings and triggered follow-up email log back to the record in real time.

HubSpot

Runs through a free Chrome extension authorised with a personal access token generated in PhoneBurner settings. You dial from contacts, deals, companies or a saved list, the HubSpot view follows whoever is being called, and outcomes, notes and recordings sync back to the record.

Zoho, Close, SugarCRM, GoHighLevel, monday.com and Outreach

The rest of the native list, all working the same way. Records pull into a dial folder and call activity writes back after the disposition, so the choice comes down to which system already holds your contacts rather than any difference in depth.

Clay

Clay carries a PhoneBurner template that posts enriched rows straight into a folder you pick in the dialer. A table that has just waterfalled mobile numbers can hand a rep a ready call list the same morning, with no CSV export sitting in the middle of it.

Zapier and Integrately

The route for anything unmapped, covering auto import of new leads from forms or ad platforms and pushing call outcomes into other systems. PhoneBurner also supports a Chrome extension route for CRMs it has no native app for.

Open API and webhooks

Full access to call data, contacts and session history, plus webhooks that fire post-call events at your own endpoints. The open API sits on Professional and Premium, so the $140 Standard plan cannot reach it and custom writebacks force an upgrade.

DNC.com and compliance

A DNC.com connection scrubs against the registry, calls are blocked after 9pm in the contact's local time, and the platform supports STIR/SHAKEN plus A2P 10DLC brand registration for SMS. The registration paperwork is a real onboarding step for smaller teams.

What is missing

No native Pipedrive or Attio, and nothing that reaches cold email infrastructure like Instantly or Smartlead. None of this works around the harder limit either, since PhoneBurner dials only United States and Canada numbers whatever system feeds the list.

Pro’s

  • PhoneBurner puts real prices on its own pricing page starting at $140 per user each month, and neither Orum nor Nooks will show you a figure without booking a demo first.

  • Power dialing keeps the pickup clean because the rep is already on the line, and Orum's own research has parallel dialing converting connects to meetings at about 3.8 percent against 6.4 percent on power dialing.

  • ARMOR is a service rather than a setting, since the team registers your numbers with carriers, monitors them across a footprint of more than 300 million US devices and negotiates false flags off on your behalf.

  • Connect Scores rank numbers off carrier signals and skip the ones with almost no chance of a pickup, and extra scoring capacity is priced openly at $15 per 1,000 numbers.

  • Clay ships a PhoneBurner template that posts enriched rows straight into a folder in the dialer, so a table that has just waterfalled mobile numbers can hand a rep a ready call list with no CSV in the middle.

  • It sits at 4.7 on G2 across roughly 277 reviews and 4.8 on Capterra across 176, and what reviewers repeat is onboarding and support quality rather than any single feature.

Cons

  • PhoneBurner dials the United States and Canada and nothing else, which its own FAQ states plainly, so a European or global list rules the tool out before you get to features or price.

  • One line at a time is the ceiling and no plan offers parallel or predictive dialing, so the 80 contacts an hour figure leans on one click voicemail drops rather than 80 conversations.

  • The $140 headline buys the thinnest tier, because softphone dialing, live coaching and the open API start at Professional, while your own number, inbound routing, transcription and SMS all sit on Premium at $183.

  • ARMOR and Connect Scores are the two things that decide whether your calls get answered and both are unpriced add-ons, with third-party breakdowns putting a realistic all-in cost near $220 per seat each month.

  • Conversation intelligence is thin next to the parallel dialers, since transcription and AI notes arrive only on Premium and there is no live battlecard, scorecard or roleplay layer of the kind Nooks and Orum sell.

How it fits your stack

Alternatives

Orum and Nooks are the parallel dialers to look at when raw dial volume matters more than the quality of the pickup, and both quote rather than publish. Aircall is the pick when you also need an inbound phone system with routing and support queues, and Kixie sits closest on price with multi-line dialing and SMS included.
