Enterprise technographic and IT spend data built from job posts, contracts and filings, so it finds the back-office systems a website scan cannot see.
What is
HG Insights
HG Insights answers two questions about any company, which technology it runs and how much it spends on IT. It sells the answers as data you pipe into Salesforce, Snowflake or a Clay table, and as a platform your revenue ops team works inside. The detection is what separates it from a stack scanner. HG reads job posts, resumes, contracts, RFPs, case studies and filings rather than page source, so it picks up the ERP, HR and database systems that never touch a marketing pixel. It counts 186 million installs across 12 million companies. The spend half models budget across 140 IT categories covering hardware, software, services and telecom, with a separate twelve-month AI spend forecast, and HG puts global IT spend at $4.96 trillion for the coming year. Sixteen datasets sit underneath as the RGI Fabric. Three modules sit on top of that data. Market Analyzer sizes a market and finds whitespace, Data Studio builds scoring models and is the MadKudu engine HG bought in August 2025, and Sales Copilot drops account briefs into Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Outreach and Salesloft. Reach HG Insights through Clay before you take a sales call. Four HG actions run on usage-based credits inside a table, and that answers most stack and hierarchy questions without a two-year contract. We have not bought a platform seat at Nebor, and would only advise one where an IT budget line decides the deal.
Integrations and the modern GTM stack
HG Insights is a data supplier before it is an application, so the integrations that matter are the ones that move installs, spend and hierarchy into the system where a rep or a workflow will act on them. Salesforce gets the deepest build and Clay is the only route that skips a contract.
Salesforce | A bi-directional native connector plus an AppExchange package, needing Enterprise, Unlimited or Developer edition. Once enabled HG reviews the org nightly, matches new Accounts and Leads and writes technology install data onto the records, and Sales Copilot renders inside the record page. |
HubSpot | A native connector between the HG Platform and HubSpot that enriches records and receives Copilot output. It is a thinner build than the Salesforce side, and HG documents far less about object coverage here, so confirm what lands on Companies before you scope a workflow. |
Snowflake | The warehouse route for anyone who wants the Fabric datasets in bulk rather than through a UI. Product and enrichment data syncs both ways, TrustRadius intent flows through the same pipe, and this is where the 16 datasets are actually usable for modelling. |
Clay | Four actions: Enrich Company, Verify Technology Usage, Find Company Corporate Structure and Find Domain from Company Name. You can run the Clay-provided key or paste your own HG key. This partnership, announced January 2025, was the first usage-based access HG ever sold. |
ZoomInfo | HG lists a competitor as an integration because the two solve different halves. HG identifies and qualifies the account through installs and spend, ZoomInfo supplies the missing buyers inside it, and TrustRadius intent can target the pair. |
Gong, Outreach and Salesloft | Sales Copilot embeds in all three so a rep sees the account brief, the install list and the intent spike without leaving the tool they sequence in. A Chrome extension overlays the same research on other prospecting pages. |
Marketo, Gainsight and Navattic | First-party signal sources feeding the Data Studio models. Marketo carries marketing engagement, Gainsight carries customer health, and Navattic pushes interactive demo engagement into the scoring engine, which HG's own integrations page still labels MadKudu. |
MCP and AI clients | RGI Agent Builder exposes the Fabric as MCP tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, Dust and any MCP client, so an agent can query installs and spend directly. It is in limited beta behind an early-access request, so treat it as a roadmap item. |
What is missing | No n8n or Zapier app of HG's own, no connector for Instantly, Smartlead or Lemlist, and no self-serve API outside Clay. There is also no trial, so the only cheap way to test coverage against your ICP is to run a sample list through the Clay actions first. |
Pro’s
The evidence base is documents rather than page source, so HG catches the ERP, HR, database and cloud systems that leave no fingerprint on a marketing site, which is exactly where BuiltWith and Wappalyzer stop.
Spend modelling across 140 IT categories tells you whether an account has budget in your category before a rep burns a quarter on it, and the pure detection tools do not attempt that at all.
Corporate hierarchy resolution covers parents, domestic parents and subsidiaries, so a global account arrives as one target instead of forty domains your reps duplicate and fight over.
Time series data runs back roughly a decade, which turns a flat fact like they use Workday into they moved to Workday fourteen months ago, and that gives an opening line a stack list never will.
Clay carries four HG actions on usage-based credits, the first route into this data that skips the enterprise contract, so a small team can enrich one list without procurement getting involved.
Install data refreshes on daily partial and monthly full cycles, and the Salesforce connector re-matches new Leads and Accounts nightly, so the technographics in the CRM stay closer to current than a quarterly file drop.
Cons
Quote only, with a two-year standard term, a higher price for one year and no pilot or free trial, so you commit before you can test coverage against your own account list.
Vendr puts the median contract at $90,000 a year across 46 purchases with a range of $31,498 to $173,119, which is enterprise money for data most teams touch a few times a quarter.
Outdated records and weak intent accuracy are among the most repeated dislikes in the 428 G2 reviews, and a six-month-old install sends a rep into a call about a system the company already replaced.
Two acquisitions in three months left the product spread across separate surfaces, with the platform on hginsights.com, the scoring app on app.madkudu.com and documentation split between help.madkudu.com and support.hginsights.com.
Contact data is a recent bolt-on assembled through waterfall enrichment rather than an owned database, so coverage of actual people trails ZoomInfo and Apollo when you need volume.
